Your obligations

When you employ a subcontractor to carry out work on your behalf or to maintain your plant, buildings or equipment you have a duty under the CDM Regulations 2007 to ensure they are competent for the task you have employed them to do.

This duty also includes ensuring they:

• have a suitable Health and Safety Policy

• have suitable risk assessments

• have method statements or safe systems of work in place

• are trained to use any plant, equipment or tools

• have appropriate insurances in place.

How we will help you

CQMS can undertake competency assessments on behalf of Clients by obtaining and reviewing the necessary documentations from Contractors, Designers and/or Consultants.  CQMS then make key evaluation details available 24/7 via our website.

Furthermore, we understand that you may have specific in-house forms i.e. questionnaires, which form part of your audit process and therefore can use these forms alongside our system in the evaluation process.
